Arsenal legend Paul Merson has predicted Tottenham Hotspur to defeat Crystal Palace when the two sides meet on Saturday afternoon.
The Lillywhites found themselves 3-0 down after just 15 minutes against Liverpool last week before a dramatic comeback saw Richarlison score his first Premier League goal for the club to make it 3-3 in stoppage time. But Jurgen Klopp's side then netted a winner a minute later through Diogo Jota, handing interim Spurs boss Ryan Mason a loss in his first away match in charge.
Next up for the north Londoners is a home fixture against Palace this afternoon, a match Merson has backed them to win. Writing for Sportskeeda, he said: "Roy Hodgson has taken Crystal Palace to a position where they can just go out and play football.

"The Eagles will have a go because Tottenham are terrible at the back, but I think they will just edge this one 3-2. Tottenham's 4-3 defeat to Liverpool last week - that just sums them up.
"To give a goal away like that at the death is just absolutely unbelievable. Diogo Jota shouldn't have been on the pitch, but he somehow managed to avoid a red card to score a last-gasp winner for Liverpool.
"Harry Kane's future has been a major talking point in recent weeks. I can't predict how this one will turn out, as he's been with the club for many years now and is seen as a legend. No matter what happens this summer, I don't think I'd be surprised."
Merson's Prediction: Tottenham 3-2 Crystal Palace
Former Chelsea centre-forward Chris Sutton has agreed with Merson's prediction, backing the Lillywhites to secure all three points. "I honestly don't know what to expect here - mainly because I don't know what to expect from Tottenham", he told the BBC.
"Spurs beat Crystal Palace 4-0 at Selhurst Park in January, when Patrick Vieira was in charge of the Eagles, but I would be shocked if we see the same scoreline this time. Palace are a very different prospect under Roy Hodgson and Spurs have developed a bad habit of conceding early goals - lots of them, in fact.
"But despite all that, I just have a feeling Tottenham are going to nick it, and I think the only reason I have that feeling is because they have got Harry Kane. There's no other reason to think Spurs will win."
Sutton's Prediction: Tottenham 2-1 Crystal Palace
