Paul Merson and Chris Sutton agree on Chelsea vs Wolves as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finds form

Chelsea face Wolves this weekend in the Premier League. A comfortable 3-0 win for the Blues in the Champions League in the week means that it's two wins from two in all competitions and Graham Potter's side will be looking to build on that form come Saturday.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang found the net against both AC Milan and Crystal Palace, meaning the Gabonese star has found form at the right time for the Blues.

As always, pundits have had their say on who they think might come out with a result. Most, including Chris Sutton and Paul Merson, believe that Chelsea will get the job done. Let's take a look at what they had to say below.

As per BBC Sport, former striker Sutton said: "It was a bit harsh for Wolves to sack Bruno Lage so early in the season. They had issues scoring goals, of course, but it is not his fault that their strikers got injured.

"They are managerless at the moment and I can't see them winning here, either. Chelsea are finding their feet under Graham Potter and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has started scoring, so they should take the points pretty comfortably."

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Meanwhile, although Merson thinks that Chelsea can still improve, he also thinks that the Blues are in for a comfortable afternoon.

"I watched Chelsea against a weakened AC Milan team in the UEFA Champions League and they weren't as fluid as Graham Potter would want them to be. That said, they still got the job done and recorded a comprehensive 3-0 win to get their first win of the season in Europe," he wrote in his Sportskeeda column.

"Reece James was outstanding and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got his name on the scoresheet for the second game running, indicating that Chelsea are slowly starting to find their feet under their new manager. Aubameyang didn't do much against Crystal Palace or AC Milan apart from his goals, but this is what the Blues have needed for a while now - a bonafide goalscorer.

"Kai Havertz and Mason Mount are two fantastic footballers, but they won't score as many goals as the ex-Arsenal man over the course of a league season. There's an art to goalscoring and the Gabonese striker seems to have mastered it over the years.

"Wolves have sacked Bruno Lage and if I'm being honest, I can't believe they let someone like Conor Coady leave. He was the heart and soul of the team and marshalled their backline expertly since they gained promotion to the Premier League, so it just feels like a strange one."

Merson's prediction: 2-0
