Northern Ireland's First Minister is set to announce his resignation on Thursday afternoon.
It's understood Paul Givan will resign at 4.30pm today and BBC Talkback reports this resignation will be "effect immediately".
The move is part of the party’s protest strategy against the Brexit-related Northern Ireland Protocol and follows his DUP ministerial colleague Edwin Poots’ decision to order a halt to agri-food checks at the region’s ports.

Mairtin MacGabhann, from Belfast, has been campaigning for the organ donation legislation reform.
His son, Dáithí, was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome and has been on a waiting list for most of his life.
Speaking to Belfast Live as news emerged of the potential resignation of NI's First Minister, he said: "Waking up to the news this morning that life-saving legislation, amongst others, is in the balance is just awful and we are seeking immediate clarity, that if Paul Givan does resign as First Minister; will legislation still have a chance of going through?
"We have heard different versions of what will happen and clarity is needed now. Soft opt-out organ donation is at the final stage next week and today’s headlines simply aren’t good enough. Not only does this have a direct effect on important bills becoming laws, but we’re also in the middle of a global pandemic."
