Hall of Fame Boston Celtics big man Kevin Garnett has left a trail of players in his wake who have been on the receiving end of one of KG’s legendary trash-talking episodes, but most of those players have, as the Big Ticket has, since retired from the game.
But there are a few OGs of today’s NBA still playing in the league these days who can remember when they too got more than an earful on the parquet during Garnett’s time in Boston, or perhaps with the Brooklyn Nets after he left the Celtics, or his first or final stint with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Included on that short list of players are Chicago Bulls veteran forward DeMar DeRozan and Los Angeles Clippers star wing Paul George.
On an episode of the latter’s “Podcast P” pod, George and DeRozan broke down some of their memories of Garnett’s iconic trash talk and more. Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear their stories of KG past.
