Paul Chuckle blessed with vivid visions of late brother Barry after his death

Paul Chuckle has revealed that his late brother Barry often comes to him in vivid dreams.

The TV star, 74, was left devastated when Barry died aged 73 in August 2018 after a short illness.

Much-loved TV star Paul has embarked on a brand-new TV venture while taking part in Celebrity Masterchef alongside Love Island star Faye Winter and McFly's Danny Jones, but while he's moving on with his career following the death of his beloved brother, Barry is never far from Paul's thoughts.

Following Barry's sad death in 2018, Paul said there was a 'hole' left in his heart - but he was given solace when Barry appeared to him in a dream where he shared an inspiring message with his grieving brother.

At the time of Barry's death, Paul said it felt as though his right arm had been 'cut off'.

However, he still holds a strong connection with his late brother.

"He's still in my dreams now. He never was when he was alive, but from the day he died, he's been in my dreams," Paul explains in an interview with this week's Heat magazine.

"When you do things in your dreams, you're normally on your own you know - seeing different people. But it's usually me and Barry doing stuff now. The first live show I did after he passed away was a pantomime in Woking. I was standing at the side of the stage on opening night, and usually Barry would be on the opposite side to me.

"And he wasn't - it was the first time I had ever been on stage on my own. I suddenly saw him there with his thumbs up, as if to say 'Go on Paul'.

"I walked out on stage and the place erupted. They were a brilliant audience - they lifted me straight up. I feel he's there all the time. It's nice."

It comes after Paul fondly remarked on how the Chuckle Brothers have 'lived on following Barry's death as he shared his plans for the future.

Last year, TV personality Paul embarked on a new project to bring the Chuckle Brothers back in a different form, although he knows that he: 'Can't bring Barry back, I wish we could.'

He told Yorkshire Live : "The Chuckle Brothers have lived on. It is quite overwhelming really because I constantly get lots of lovely messages, thousands of social media followers and I get stopped in the street all the time - social distancing considered.

"Well, we can't bring Barry back - I wish we could - but we are going to be doing all our daft things in a different way. Especially during this Covid pandemic I have had loads of people saying that they wish we were still on the telly to entertain the kids. So do I and that's why we are doing something about it."

Paul also recently exposed his connections to a much-loved Gogglebox pair.

The TV star revealed that he is actually Sophie and Pete Sandiford's great-uncle.

"Yes, I'm their great-uncle. I'm uncle Paul," he confirmed.
