Princess Diana's former butler, Paul Burrell has publicly spoked out ahead of the upcoming Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Netlix docu-series. The former royal aide has suggested that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should have their royal titles taken off them. He was speaking to Piers Morgan in an interview on Monday, December 5.
A second trailer for the project was released on Monday, confirming the date that the series will first air and featuring Prince Harry, 38, saying: "It's really hard to look back on it now and go, what on earth happened?" In the clip he goes on to talk about the hierarchy of the royal family, adding: "There's a hierarchy of the family. You know, there's leaking but there's also planting of stories. It's a dirty game." Also in the second trailer, Meghan, 41, is again shown wiping away tears saying: "I realised they're never going to protect you"
During TalkTV show's, Piers Morgan Uncensored, Paul Burrell, 64, said the series "all smacks of self-obsessed narcissism". The Mirror reported that he went on to discuss Prince Harry relocating to the US.

Burrell had previously served as a butler to Prince Harry's late mother, Princess Diana. He continued saying that Princess Diana would have applauded Prince Harry for 'protecting his family' but "she wouldn't have applauded what he is doing now. The commercialism around it." Adding that she "never took a penny from anyone else".
Speaking to host Piers Morgan, 57, and other guests, Paul said that Princess Diana had been a "great supporter" of the monarchy. Continuing that she was "very proud" of Prince Harry and older brother Prince William, 40, being members of the Royal Family. Paul also spoke about the younger sibling's role. The former butler claimed Princess Diana thought that it was Prince Harry's job to support Prince William on his path to becoming the monarch. He added: "That was his job."
On the topic of how he would handle the situation with Prince Harry and Meghan if he were the monarch. Paul suggested stripping them of their royal titles. They hold the titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. He said: "You take away their titles, I agree, absolutely. They don't want to be members of the Royal Family, so why should they trade on royal titles? [Harry] will always be a Prince [though]".
During the chat with Piers Morgan, Paul expressed his concern over the new docu-series, the first volume of which is scheduled to be released on Thursday, December 8. Towards the end of the segment, he said he can't "bear it" and that it will "upset" him.
Piers Morgan Uncensored airs weekdays on TalkTV at 8pm. Harry & Meghan will launch on Netflix on Thursday, December 8.
