Patriots WR already recruiting Cooper Kupp amid uncertain future with Rams

The offseason just began for the Los Angeles Rams after losing in the divisional round of the playoffs but conversations about whether Cooper Kupp will remain with the team have already begun. The star receiver commented on his uncertain future this week, saying he’ll “definitely” be playing somewhere next season, but he’s not sure if it’ll be with the Rams.

As much as he’d love to remain in Los Angeles, he knows the NFL is a business and there are things that are out of his control.

One fellow wide receiver caught wind of his comments and has already started recruiting him to New England. Patriots veteran Kendrick Bourne posted a funny message on social media telling Kupp that he can have “all the targets” in New England.

Kupp still has two years left on his contract so it’s very possible he’ll remain with the Rams for at least another season. However, with a cap hit of about $30 million, it’s unlikely to be at that price.

He’s coming off arguably his worst season since 2017, catching just 5.6 passes per game for an average of 59.2 yards per game. Those aren’t the numbers we’ve come to expect from the former triple-crown winner, but at this stage of his career, that might be the receiver he is now.
