Patriots Week 18 injury report: Top defender remains out on Thursday

The New England Patriots injury report for Thursday’s practice revealed several key injuries.

Cornerback Christian Gonzalez is in concussion protocol after suffering a head injury in last week’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Center Ben Brown, who missed last week’s game due to a concussion, was still out. Rookie wideout Ja’Lynn Polk was also out with a shoulder injury.

There were 10 Patriots players listed as limited participants, including Drake Maye, Kyle Dugger and Hunter Henry. Maye is expected to play in the season finale against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, but he is dealing with a hand injury.

Here are the full injury reports for the Patriots and Bills on Thursday:

New England Patriots

The Patriots are sitting at 3-13 on the season with no hope of making the playoffs. They could choose to play their starters against the Bills on Sunday or use that game to get a look at some of the other players on their roster.

If the season ended today, the Patriots would own the No. 1 overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft. However, a win would put that draft pick in jeopardy.
