The New England Patriots returned to the practice field on Wednesday after being granted two days off for their upset win over the New York Jets.
Rookie wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk was back after missing last week’s game due to a concussion. Cornerback Alex Austin, who was on injured reserve with an ankle injury, was also back on the field for practice, per the injury report.
So the Patriots could be on the verge of getting two of their key contributors back on the field. There was more good news at the quarterback position with rookie Drake Maye serving as a limited participant in practice.
His status in regards to Week 9 is still up in the air, but there’s a chance he clears protocol early enough to start against the Titans. Here is the injury report for both teams on Wednesday:
