The entire 2023 season could hang in the balance for the New England Patriots in Sunday’s AFC East divisional showdown with the Miami Dolphins.
New England is sitting at 2-5 through the first seven weeks of the season with the trade deadline right around the corner on October 31. Another loss at this point would pretty much bury their playoff hopes, leaving them in an unusual position to become sellers at the deadline.
However, a win could instill newfound hope in the franchise with a winnable slate of games coming up on the itinerary.
The Patriots shocked the world by upsetting the Buffalo Bills after Mac Jones and company engineered a game-winning drive in Week 7. Meanwhile, the Dolphins fell in defeat for only the second time this season against the Philadelphia Eagles.
