Patriots star rookie replacing QB Josh Allen in 2025 Pro Bowl Games

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye was named a Pro Bowl alternate on Tuesday. The UNC product will be replacing Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who declined to participate in the game.

Maye had a promising rookie season, as he recorded 2,276 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Keep in mind, he only started in 12 games, and he played behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league, along with a lackluster receiving corps.

The Patriots have been in this type of situation before. Mac Jones was named a Pro Bowl alternate following his rookie season as well.

This is certainly a positive benchmark for Maye, as he enters a crucial sophomore campaign. The expectations are for him to be even better in 2025 with a more experienced coaching staff and more offensive weapons.

He is already making waves on the field, despite barely scratching the surface of his true potential as a player.
