The New England Patriots social media team had a bit of fun as they kept receipts of the analysts who picked the team to lose. They posted a message on social media after the game with an edit to the Bengals’ slogan “Who Dey.”
“We Dey,” the post read on the X platform.
It was a game in which the Patriots were underdogs, but they managed to sneak out a win on the road against a talented Bengals team. The theme of the day was running the football with the Patriots’ offense racking up 170 total yards on the ground.
It was New England’s first opening-season win since the 2020 season and the first victory for coach Jerod Mayo.
The Patriots are still very much in rebuilding mode, as they look to make improvements to the roster. Still, Sunday’s victory could be viewed as a major step in the right direction for a team that finished with a 4-13 record last season,

The Patriots can enjoy this win, but they can’t rest on their laurels with 16 more games on the regular season slate. They’re just getting started, and hopefully, they can use this victory to propel them to more in the future.
