It doesn’t matter if he’s on the football field or a basketball court. Drake Maye is a problem.
The New England Patriots rookie quarterback went viral on social media after highlights of him playing basketball at Myers Park High School surfaced.
Maye showed off his range from 3-pointer, his fadeaway jumper and passing abilities. It was a little bit of everything from the No. 3 overall pick of the 2024 NFL draft.
Per Max Preps, Maye averaged a double-double in his senior year with 16.1 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. It was an impressive showing from the multiple sport athlete who ultimately decided to sign with North Carolina for football.

The Patriots are hopeful Maye will develop into the future franchise quarterback of the team. He is currently positioned at No. 2 on the depth chart behind veteran Jacoby Brissett.
There’s a belief that could change at any moment for the struggling Patriots in the 2024 season.
