The New England Patriots revealed their first round of roster cuts on Monday. A total of 14 players were released ahead of Tuesday’s roster cut deadline.
That list included the following players: long snapper Tucker Addington, receiver Kawaan Baker, defensive end William Bradley-King, defensive tackle Josiah Bronson, linebacker Steele Chambers, running back Deshaun Fenwick, cornerback Azizi Hearn, offensive tackle Zuri Henry, defensive end Christian McCarroll, tight end La’Michael Pettway, defensive tackle Sam Roberts, center Charles Turner, cornerback Mikey Victor and tight end Jacob Warren.
The Patriots have until 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday to trim their roster down to 53 players. So coach Jerod Mayo still has some work to do before the team is in compliance with the rule.
We put together a final 53-man roster prediction for the Patriots ahead of the cutdown deadline.
Mayo and lead personnel executive Eliot Wolf will have some tough decisions ahead when finalizing their first roster together. Will they keep Bailey Zappe or Joe Milton III as the No. 3 quarterback on the roster? How many receivers will they carry? Who will be the biggest surprise player that makes the roster?
It won’t be long before we have the answers to all of those questions for the Patriots.
