The New England Patriots moved up in the ESPN Week 2 power rankings, following their 16-10 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. They were listed at No. 24 overall after beginning the season at 30th overall.
The Patriots were able to win at the line of scrimmage and establish their running game, as they recorded 170 yards on the ground. Defense and the rushing attack helped New England pull off the upset win at Paycor Stadium.
A home game against the Seattle Seahawks is up next for the Patriots. Seattle will come into the game ranked 19th in the ESPN power rankings, following a gritty 26-20 win over the Denver Broncos.
Some would consider the Seahawks game as one of the easier ones on the Patriots’ tough 2024 schedule.
It’s clear that momentum is swinging in New England’s favor after the win over the Bengals, and we’ll see if they can keep it up when hosting the Seahawks for a visit in Week 2 at Gillette Stadium.
