This week, Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke to four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski.
In his interview with Easton Jr., Gronkowski discussed his partnership with Bounty and shared his thoughts on Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s growing postseason legacy.
Fans nationwide are expected to devour a record-breaking number of chicken wings during Super Bowl LIX. To help keep things clean, Gronkowski returns for his third year with Bounty, the Quicker Picker Upper.
Since all playoff roads lead to the Big Easy, there’s no better wingman to show him the ropes than fellow Super Bowl champion and former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.
Gronkowski is currently tied for the record for most postseason starts at tight end but will be overtaken by Travis Kelce, who is expected to make his 23rd career start in Super Bowl LIX. He opened up about Kelce’s career and unparalleled success in the playoffs.
“It’s really impressive. He’s one of the best players in the game right now, and what he’s doing is phenomenal. He’s taking his postseason play to a whole other level,” said Gronkowski. “He’s one of the best postseason players ever to play the game, and it’s just incredible how he steps it up when his number is called at the biggest moments in championship games. And that’s how you win championships. And you make championship plays at championship moments. And that’s what Travis Kelce does. And you can respect it, and you can only appreciate it every single time he makes those plays, and he always comes through for Patrick Mahomes and company, that’s for sure.”
