Patriots, Cowboys stay on top in Forbes’ franchise valuation rankings

Regardless of what happens this season, the New England Patriots still remain near the top of one particular category. They are worth the second-most money in the NFL behind the Dallas Cowboys, according to the recent valuation rankings from Forbes.

New England is valued at $7 billion and makes $684 million in revenue. For comparison, the Cowboys are valued at $9 billion and bring in $1.14 billion in revenue.

New England has become a recognizable brand over the last 20 years. The on-field success has been a big component in the organization’s success with the team winning six Super Bowls since 2000. It also helped having the greatest quarterback of all time, Tom Brady, on the the roster for nearly two decades.

The Patriots’ divisional foes also check in high on this list. The New York Jets are worth $6.1 billion in the current value and bring in $560 million in revenue, while the Miami Dolphins are worth $5.7 billion and bring in $600 million in revenue. Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills are the third-lowest with the organization being worth $3.7 billion and accumulating $503 million in revenue.

Of course, valuations won’t matter once the helmets come on the teams compete in the 2023 season. It’s going to take more than money to help the Patriots in a stacked AFC East division.
