New England Patriots rookie cornerback Isaiah Bolden made his first comments on Sunday morning, following an ugly injury in Saturday’s preseason game against the Green Bay Packers.
When attempting to make a tackle, Bolden collided head-first into a teammate and was motionless on the ground for several minutes, before he was ultimately taken off the field on a stretcher and rushed to the hospital.
After being held overnight at Aurora Bay Medical Center, the 23-year-old defensive back was released from the hospital and allowed to travel back home with his teammates. Not long after that update, he sent out a post on social media.
“Appreciate the prayers more excited to be back with the guys,” Bolden posted.

It was great news to not only get the positive update from the team but also hear from Bolden after the injury scare.
He’s a young man with family, friends and his entire life ahead of him before anything else. There’s a human element in all of it that weighs heavier than the game being played on the field.
