The New England Patriots are bringing out the famous red throwback uniforms for two games in the 2023 regular season. On Thursday, the team announced they would be wearing the uniforms in their Sept. 17 meeting with the Miami Dolphins and Dec. 3 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Patriots will have their work cut out in both games. Miami just added six-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey. Wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle should also give the New England secondary something to think about.
Meanwhile, the Chargers are coming off a playoff berth in 2022, and they have a star at the quarterback position in Justin Herbert. Defensively, New England will have to contend with edge rusher Joey Bosa and linebacker Khalil Mack in a game that could have playoff implications late in the season.

New England’s red jerseys are some of the best in football. We can only hope the throwback theme gives them enough of a confidence boost to compete in what will surely be two incredibly tough games.
