Patrick Vieira responds after video appears to show him kicking fan after Everton win

Patrick Vieira has refused to comment on a video online appearing to show him kick a supporter following his side's defeat to Everton at Goodison Park.

The incident happened at the end of the game - which Everton won 3-2. Despite trailing 2-0 at the break, the Blues fought back in the second-half to confirm they will be playing Premier League football next season.

Michael Keane's strike reduced the arrears before Richarlison restored parity with a deflected effort. Dominic Calvert-Lewin was then Everton’s hero when he headed home a winner.

Following Anthony Taylor’s full-time whistle, Everton supporters invaded the pitch in celebration of their side securing their Premier League safety. And it was then when the incident appeared to occur.

As Vieira made his way back to his side’s dressing room across the pitch a fan appeared to say something to him. The former French international then turned and attempted to grab him before he appeared to try and kick him.

But when asked about the incident post-match, Vieira said: "No I have nothing to say about that.”

The video that showed the incident was circulated on social media and also appeared to show the former Arsenal captain being confronted by more supporters who had made their way onto the pitch.
