Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira believes Arsenal have the squad to challenge for the Premier League title this season.
The former Arsenal midfielder could only watch on as Palace fell 2-0 to the Gunners at Selhurst Park on the opening day of the new Premier League season.
A first-half strike from Gabriel Martinelli and a late deflected Bukayo Saka shot helped Mikel Arteta's side to all three points on Friday night, giving the Gunners the perfect start to the new campaign.

Arsenal have spent big this summer, bringing in Manchester City duo Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, as well as Porto midfielder Fabio Vieira.
While Vieira didn't feature against Palace, both Jesus and Zinchenko made their competitive Arsenal debuts in the 2-0 win. Jesus led the line in attack with Martinelli and Saka either side of the Brazilian international while Zinchenko started at left-back in favour of Kieran Tierney.
And Vieira believes the Gunners summer signings have made them "much stronger" and could give them a chance to compete for the Premier League title this season.
"They are in a better place than last year," said Vieira. "The new players have made them much stronger.
"They have the squad to challenge and be closer to the title."
