Patrick Vieira was pleased with his side for finishing the job against Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon after going a goal down, in particular Eberechi Eze.
The Eagles picked up their first three points of the season with a 3-1 victory at Selhurst Park. Following an opening day defeat to Arsenal followed by a 1-1 draw against 10-man Liverpool, Palace secured their first win of the 2022/23 season.
A Wilfried Zaha brace cancelled out Ollie Watkin's early opener for the visitors before Jean-Philippe Mateta wrapped up the result.

For Vieira, it was good to see his side not put their heads down after Watkins scored and the manager in his second year at the club said he was pleased with their overall performance.
“I’m really pleased – really delighted,” Vieira told BBC after the match. “We had a really good performance today. We went through difficult periods, but we remained calm and were really determined.
“At times, we played some really good football. Today, I am really pleased with the quality and attitude we showed today.
“Overall, we had a really good performance. We were up for it, and I was pleased with that.”
One player who impressed throughout was Eberechi Eze who caused the Villa defence problems throughout. Looking back to his best after returning to full fitness throughout last season, Vieira heaped praise on the former QPR attacker.
“Ebs is getting better and better,” said Vieira. “When the team plays like that, it allows him to show his quality.
“He loves the game – he is a football player who loves to have the ball at his feet. Today, it’s his best performance since he came back.”
