Patrick Vieira has offered his view on Mikel Arteta and Arsenal ahead of welcoming his former club to Selhurst Park on Monday night.
The former France midfielder has his Palace side performing well this season with his side twelfth in the table, well clear of the relegation scrap that many predicted for Vieira at the start of the season.
Vieira spoke to Sky Sports ahead of the match and was asked about his views on his former club's performances this season and how happy he was to see them doing well.
He said: “Yes I am very pleased to Arsenal doing well and to see them close to the Champions League spots, because Arsenal used to play in the Champions League every year. That is the level they should be at.”

When asked about the challenges faced by Mikel Arteta during his tenure the former Arsenal and Juventus man was glowing in his praise of the Spaniard, who has been at the helm since 2019.
He said: "Every manager will go through challenges, but it is about how you manage those challenges and I think the best answer was for him to keep doing what he was doing and turning things around."
Arsenal will need a win to keep the race for the top four in their hands with Spurs, West Ham and Manchester United all chasing the spot currently occupied by Arteta's men.
