Leeds United will finally return to Premier League action after more than a fortnight away when they travel to face Crystal Palace on Monday night. Both Burnley and Everton have the chance to close the gap on the Whites ahead of their visit to South London, making it a huge game for Jesse Marsch’s side.
The Eagles, on the other hand, will be desperate to bounce back from three consecutive defeats, including FA Cup semi-final disappointment last weekend. While they should be more than comfortable when it comes to confirming their safety, they could do with another result or two to make absolutely sure.
Palace might have also felt as though they could have come away from their visit to St James’ Park on Wednesday evening with a result but a great goal from Miguel Almiron put paid to that. Patrick Vieira will want to see a reaction from his players in front of their own supporters under the lights at Selhurst Park on Monday evening.

However, he could be without Michael Olise after the midfielder was withdrawn after just 40 minutes on Tyneside. After the match, Vieira described the decision to bring the Frenchman off: “We know that Michael had some issues with his foot in the last couple of weeks. We started him today, but he wasn't 100% so the best decision was to take him off.”
Olise joins a couple of his teammates in the physio room as both Luka Milivojevic and Nathan Ferguson are currently dealing with more significant injuries that mean they are both very unlikely to feature against the Whites. Other than that, Vieira has a full squad to select his starting XI from following Conor Gallagher’s return to the team on Wednesday evening after he was unable to play against his parent club in the FA Cup semi-final.
More information regarding injury news will be provided in Vieira’s pre-match press conference ahead of the game so keep checking LeedsLive for all the details.
