The Baltimore Ravens are known not only as the best team in the NFL in 2023, but one of the most physical teams in the league as well. They’ve asserted their dominance over almost all of their opponents this season, and it’s a big reason why they’re 12-3 on the year.
“We play a brand of football that people don’t want to play. Everybody wants to be out here [being] cute, playing basketball on grass and stuff, and we [are not] with all that. You can do all that stuff; we’re just going to hit you in the mouth every play, honestly. We couldn’t care less about all the pretty stuff you do, gimmick stuff. You still have to line up and play football. You still have to get touched, so that’s our mindset. That’s how we want to come out and just hit people in the mouth.”
It feels as if some of Baltimore opponents have “quit” on the field when having to go up against the team’s physicality. Ravens inside linebacker Patrick Queen said that Baltimore is playing a brand of football that other teams don’t want to play, as instead of being cute they’ll hit you in the mouth.
