Patrick Peterson says HC Mike Tomlin predicted the Ravens move on game-winning TD

The defining moment in last week’s Pittsburgh Steelers win over the Baltimore Ravens was the beautiful touchdown pass from quarterback Kenny Pickett to George Pickens that gave the Steelers their first lead of the game and they never looked back. The play itself was a thing of beauty, an audible from Pickett and a perfect route by Pickens.

And according to cornerback Patrick Peterson, head coach Mike Tomlin predicted it. Peterson talked about the play on his All Things Covered Podcast with Bryant McFadden. Peterson said that Tomlin talked about the Ravens tendencies and made the prediction that with the game on the line, he expected them to risk it big.

According to Peterson, on Wednesday, Tomlin said, “When it’s a dying moment, they will try to burn the house down.” This is exactly what they tried to do, going Cover 0 and trying to force Pickett into a mistake. But because Pickett was prepared, the play worked perfectly and Pittsburgh is now on top in the AFC North.
