A pair of Kansas City Chiefs added another trophy over the weekend.
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were among the participants in the inaugural 8AM Golf Invitational hosted by Justin Timberlake and Wynn Las Vegas. Participants included Mahomes, Kelce, Timberlake, Jimmy Fallon, Kathryn Newton, Chase Crawford, Chandler Parsons, ScHoolboy Q, Michael Phelps, Michelle Wie West, Mel Reid and more.
Mahomes and Kelce shot 18-under par, defeating Newton and Crawford by just one shot. They were presented with trophies engraved with “8AM Invitational Champion.” They also gave a little victory speech.
After the first round of the match, 8AM Golf hosted a celebrity poker tournament where the group raised over $600,000 for the American Skin Association.
For Mahomes, this is a warm-up for the upcoming Match event to be played on the same course.
Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers will take on Mahomes and Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills at the Wynn Las Vegas on June 1 in the latest installment of Capital One’s The Match.
