Patrick Mahomes has spoiled NFL fans for the past several seasons with his absurd no-look passes and dazzling throws under pressure. So when a young quarterback went viral with his own ridiculous throw, the Chiefs signal-caller showed him some love.
Jaguars quarterback Nathan Rourke lit the internet on fire Saturday night when he made a miraculous escape against the Cowboys and hit running back Quadree Ollison for a touchdown. NFL analyst Warren Sharp posted the video on X and said, “if Patrick does this twitter breaks.” The Chiefs signal-caller noticed his name was mentioned and chimed in.
“This was nasty!!” Mahomes wrote.

Rourke played college football at Fort Scott and Ohio but went undrafted in 2021. Since then, he has played for the CFL’s BC Lions and was named Most Outstanding Canadian in 2022.
After his breakout year in the CFL, he worked out for several NFL teams before signing with Jacksonville in January. He recorded 153 passing yards and one touchdown pass on Saturday in his team’s 28–23 road win over Dallas.
If this play was an indication of what’s to come, Jacksonville has struck gold with Rourke.
