Patrick Mahomes hilariously stopped Travis Kelce from taking the mic during the Chiefs’ White House visit

The Kansas City Chiefs know from experience that anything — and I mean anything — can happen when Travis Kelce is speaking into a microphone. Patrick Mahomes didn’t want to take that chance at the White House.

President Joe Biden welcomed the Kansas City Chiefs to the White House on Monday to celebrate their Super Bowl 57 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. It was the Chiefs’ second Super Bowl win in the Mahomes era. And it likely won’t be their final trip to the White House.

But amid the festivities, the best part came when Kelce tried to sneak away to the microphone and deliver a speech at the White House.

Kelce saw his chance and said, “So, I’ve been waiting for this…” And that was when Mahomes intervened and guided Kelce away from the mic. It was all in good fun (and probably planned out between the two). Still, fans found the moment hilarious.

They wanted to hear Kelce speak.
