It’s basically been a game as of late to figure out where Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is on the globe. One day, he’s in Kansas City for Kelce Fest and OTAs, the next, he’s somewhere in Europe presumably with Taylor Swift. Then, he’s back stateside. But I don’t think anyone would have guessed Dallas for Kelce on Saturday night.
Even Patrick Mahomes seemed a bit surprised.
As the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers were facing off in Saturday’s Game 2 of the Western Conference finals, the broadcast showed that the Chiefs tight end was in a suite at American Airlines Center alongside pro golfer Bryson DeChambeau.
Kelce doesn’t have any ties to Dallas, but he’s a big hockey guy and was apparently invited by DeChambeau, a Dallas native. Mahomes, though, jokingly didn’t want to see Kelce in his home arena.
Kelce saw the tweet and had to call out the fact that Mahomes has never even been on skates.
That was just some excellent banter, and fans enjoyed it all on social media. We’ll have to see if Kelce and Mahomes make an appearance on Sunday for the Mavericks’ game against the Timberwolves.
