Patrick Mahomes earns Chiefs Wire’s Player of the Game award in Week 12

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes put together a marvelous performance against the Carolina Panthers in Week 12 and helped lift the defending Super Bowl champions to their tenth regular season win.

For his outstanding effort in Kansas City’s latest victory, Mahomes has earned Chiefs Wire’s coveted Player of the Game award. B

His impressive showing was the difference between a win and a loss for Kansas City, and Mahomes’ 33-yard scramble on the game’s final drive stood out as the matchup’s defining moment.

The reigning Super Bowl MVP passed for 269 yards, completed 27 of his 37 attempts, and threw three touchdown passes without being intercepted by Carolina’s swarming secondary.

Mahomes achieved success against the Panthers despite his offensive line’s struggle to provide him with a consistent pocket from which to throw the ball. He was sacked five times in the game but compensated for his lack of protection by rushing for 60 yards on five attempts.
