Pat Mahomes Sr. has never lacked confidence, and with his son, Patrick Mahomes, headed to the Super Bowl, he’s not about to start now.
Beloved former New York Mets pitcher Patrick Mahomes Sr. is the father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. And when your son is that THAT Pat Mahomes, it’s hard not to be proud. Mahomes has been to the AFC Championship every year of his career in Kansas City and is now headed to his fourth Super Bowl in five years. At just 28 years old, he’s accomplished things that most NFL quarterbacks don’t experience during their careers.
After Mahomes put on a clinic against the Ravens, Patrick Sr. had the Lamar Jackson jokes ready with his trademark victory cigar.
Pat Mahomes Sr. Told me postgame that he’s smokin on that
“Special Blend Lamar Jackson!”
He flew it in straight from Cuba pic.twitter.com/Sq2S4iIXos— Steve Walls (@SteveWallsKC) January 29, 2024
But that wasn’t all he said. Patrick Sr. also made a bold but believable prediction about his son’s future.
