Mahomes highlighted that Kansas City, the Chiefs' home city, provides the perfect backdrop for their culinary endeavor. He emphasized their shared passion for bringing people together, stating that they aim to create a welcoming space for everyone.
Addressing concerns about affordability, Mahomes confirmed that they intend to offer a range of menu items, including some priced at $15, to ensure accessibility for all patrons. Furthermore, Mahomes revealed plans to frequent the restaurant post-NFL games, envisioning it as a celebratory spot for victories at Arrowhead Stadium.
Regarding the menu, Mahomes teased that it will feature some of his favorite dishes, including a nod to his well-known love for ketchup. The restaurant's name, 1587 Prime, is a combination of both Mahomes's and Kelce's jersey numbers.
Set to open in early 2025, 1587 Prime will be located inside the Loews Kansas City Hotel, spanning 10,000 square feet across two floors. The establishment will offer private dining rooms and incorporate subtle references to the athletes' football achievements in its food and decor.
Noble 33, a global hospitality group, is partnering with Mahomes and Kelce to bring their vision to life. Kelce expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the unique dining experience they aim to create in their beloved Kansas City.
