Patrick Beverley wants $13-$15 million per year on new deal

One of the Chicago Bulls’ any offseason decisions this summer is whether to bring back veteran guard Patrick Beverley or not.

Beverley was signed following the trade deadline after being waived by the Orlando Magic after his trade from the Los Angeles Lakers.

With the uncertainty surrounding the backcourt situation in Chicago, Beverley may be a target to return for the Bulls, but Pat Bev knows his worth.

“My game hasn’t dropped, so I don’t think my number that I make this year should drop,” Beverley said on The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone. “I’m at 13 (million), but the money does go up, so my 13 this year would become 15 next year.”

After his arrival in Chicago, Beverley had a significant impact on the Bulls, adding overall toughness and leadership within the team while offering his defensive mindset, which helped land the Bulls in the play-in tournament.

“We’ll see what happens with the Bulls,” Beverley said. “There are a lot of people out there that might want that Pat Bev juice for their team. I’m excited about that. I really am.”

“I just want to be on a team that wants to win,” Beverley said. “Regardless of if you have the tools or not, just have a championship mindset from top to bottom.”

If the price is right and the Bulls don’t decide to blow it up, Beverley might just re-sign with his hometown team. But, if I had to guess the market for Pat Bev, making $13-$15 million seems like a tough task so if the veteran guard wants to land in a winning situation, he may have to settle for less money and look outside of Chicago.
