Patrick Beverley and Damian Lillard have a long-standing beef, and the two clearly haven’t yet settled their differences.
Beverley and Lillard had run-ins with each other during the NBA’s bubble games in 2020. They have trolled each other on Twitter and Lillard has called out Beverley for his criticism of Chris Paul.
As expected, tensions ran high when Beverley’s Lakers traveled to Portland to face off against Lillard’s Trail Blazers on Sunday evening. During the first half of the game, the two guards had a heated incident at the free-throw line that resulted in Beverley earning a technical foul.
After the game was over, as the Lakers turned a 23-point deficit into a comeback victory, Beverley then appeared to mock Lillard’s signature “Dame Time” celebration. You can watch for yourself to see how he did it:

Lillard was 5-for-17 from the field during the loss, which was one of his least efficient scoring performances of the season.
Beverley defended Lillard for 39.4 possessions, per PBPStats. Lillard was 2-for-7 from the field and 1-for-6 on 3-pointers during those minutes.
Los Angeles outscored Portland by 27 points when Beverley was on the court, which was the highest plus-minus of anyone on either team.
