Patrick Bamford believes the future is bright for Leeds United after the under-21s ran rampant against Southampton on Friday night to record a 6-2 win at Elland Road.
The England international, who scored a hat-trick against the Saints in the 6-2 drubbing, saw plenty of promise from a number of Leeds youngsters including Crysencio Summerville, Darko Gyabi, Willy Gnonto and Sonny Perkins.
Leeds opted to sign the latter three this summer in an effort to add high quality youngsters to their ranks and so far, the trio have shown signs of real promise.

Additionally, Summerville was one of the U21 players to really stand out against Southampton. The Dutch winger has been involved in Jesse Marsch's first team plans, with the 20-year-old having made two appearances for the senior XI this term.
"I think that, obviously Cry [Crysencio Summerville]... sometimes it's too easy for him," said Bamford with a wry smile.
"I know it sounds silly but he's a really good player and we're seeing that in training all the time. I think that the next step for him is showing that in the first team when he gets on on a Saturday.
"Then obviously you've got the other young players, Darko [Gyabi], Willy [Gnonto] who's new, who did really well and Sonny [Perkins] as well who is a good player and pulled off a great finish.
"The future looks promising but then there's also the learning side of it as well because there's no way we should have conceded two at the end. There's a learning curve and I'm sure they'll have taken a lot away from tonight."
