Evra hits out at transfer strategy
Former left-back Patrice Evra believes Manchester United's problems will not be solved through the method of bringing in new players ahead of the transfer window closing.
United, who will be desperate to secure their first win under manager Erik ten Hag when they face Liverpool at Old Trafford on Monday evening, are close to completing their fourth signing of the summer in the form of Real Madrid ace Casemiro. The defensive-midfielder is on the cusp of finalising a switch to Old Trafford after United confirmed that they had reached an agreement with the Spanish side on Friday evening.

The Brazilian is a much-needed addition to United's squad, with the club having been desperate to sign a central midfielder all summer.
Rooney's advice for Martinez
Wayne Rooney has moved to defend Lisandro Martinez and believes Manchester United need to change to get the best out of him.
United signed Martinez in a £53.5million move from Ajax earlier in the summer as Erik ten Hag looked to improve his defensive options. But it's been a baptism of fire for the Argentine, who has struggled at times in the opening defeats to Brighton and Brentford.
Martinez has also come in for ridicule for his height as at 5ft 9in he isn't as tall as a typical Premier League centre-back. But United legend Rooney believes that matters little and he is a good player, but United need to be doing more to help show his strengths on the pitch.
