The storyline follows the protagonist, Edmond Dantes, who is wrongfully accused of a crime on his wedding day and imprisoned for 14 years. Upon his escape, he transforms into the Count of Monte-Cristo, seeking revenge on those who betrayed him.
The film is directed by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patellière, known for their work on 'The Three Musketeers.'
