Pat Sharp booted from radio job after 'humiliating' joke about woman's breasts

Pat Sharp's ill-judged joke about a woman's 't**s' has seen the Fun House star booted from his radio job, it has been reported.

The host has been presenting the Greatest Hits Radio show since 2019, and the station have confirmed that he will not be returning to present as the woman referred to in Sharp's joke considers 'taking action' against him.

It has been claimed that the 90s legend was at an industry event when he made a jibe about company boss Lizzy Eaton’s chest in front of around 400 people.

Lizzy was given a T-shirt with Sharp's face and infamous mullet from back in his heyday emblazoned on the front, with Sharp telling her: "That’s the only way I’ll get on your t**s today."

According to The Sun, Lizzy threw the top back at him and left the event in tears on Friday.

Later, Lizzy later commented on the incident on social media, she said: “Yesterday I was publicly humiliated, in a sexual nature, by the celebrity host of an industry event, on stage in front of 400 of my colleagues and peers.

“Afterwards I was in complete shock and hadn’t really processed what happened. Today I am struggling with it — I feel sad, dirty and, frankly, violated.

“I have worked incredibly hard to earn my reputation and hopefully be an inspiration to other young women in the events industry.

“Yesterday however, I was belittled, sexualised and objectified in front of hundreds of people I respect.”

Following the comment, Lizzy says she is considering taking action against Sharp.

Sharp says he apologised at the event (Twitter)

In a statement issued to The Sun, Sharp said: "Last Friday, I made a joke on stage which was not well received.

“I upset one individual in particular and for that I am truly sorry. I apologised at the event to anyone who was offended and I have apologised to the individual personally too.”

Greatest Hits Radio have confirmed Sharp's contract was due to expire at the end of this month but he will “not return to the station with immediate effect”.
