Bo Nix finally has a win under his belt in the regular season.
The first-round pick for the Denver Broncos led his team to a 26-7 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past Sunday. Although Nix didn’t throw for any touchdowns, his steady performance (25-36 completion rate, good for 69 percent, and 216 passing yards) allowed for the Broncos to have six scoring drives, including a Nix touchdown run.
Pat McAfee, who has a hit show on ESPN, has been on the Nix train for a while. So it’s no surprise that McAfee was there to sing his praises when Nix had a strong showing on Week 3.
“Maybe the Denver Broncos have gotten to the point where they have figured it out,” McAfee said on Monday.

Nix has a long way to go before he can master Sean Payton’s offense, but Sunday showed that there’s a chance that Nix could become a legitimate player in this league. So there’s still far to go, yes, but it’s Week 3 was a step in the right direction.
