On Monday, the Kansas City Chiefs made their first trip to the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl LVII victory. The meeting with the President of the United States is an honor many sports champions have routinely enjoyed for decades, and the Chiefs can finally add their names to that illustrious list.
In the end, the viral moment featuring Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes gave the ceremony even more of a unique touch. The All-Pro tight end acting as if he was going to address the nation at the briefly abandoned podium before being ushered away by Mahomes brought plenty of laughs. One of the many people laughing was host and former NFL punter Pat McAfee who immediately praised the Chiefs duo on Tuesday’s episode of “The Pat McAfee Show.”
“Travis Kelce had an epic moment at the White House,” said McAfee. “And when you start knowing the White House trip as a Super Bowl champion enough to know that a situation is about to pop up and not miss it in the epic fashion in which Travis Kelce did yesterday, you know your team is on a dynastic run. Travis Kelce continues to be one of the most epic humans to ever exist. And yesterday is the most recent example at the White House.”

“What a moment, Travis f****** loved it. I love that AJ (Hawk), I genuinely do,” said McAfee. “That’s a good moment. A lot of people can miss that moment.”
McAfee’s co-host and former NFL linebacker AJ Hawk shared his thoughts on the Chiefs All-Pro duo’s legacy following all the recent success.
“Hopefully, we enjoy watching these two together now because there’ll be something down the road when you watch it like, ‘Man, how awesome was that? “When Mahomes and Kelce were rolling together like that, yeah, I’m going to enjoy it,” Hawk explained. “It’s fun to watch.”
