Two seasons ago, Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt tied the single-season sack record with 22.5 sacks. We can debate whether or not he should have been awarded one more sack and be the all-time leader alone, but that is a discussion for another day.
Watt was on the Pat McAfee show on Monday and McAfee offered up a very interesting wager to Watt. McAfee said if Watt can break his own single-season sacks mark, he would donate $500,000 to a charity of Watt’s choosing.
It isn’t like Watt needed more motivation after a disappointing 2022 season where he missed all of seven games and parts of two more with injuries.
#Steelers LB T.J. Watt's goal is to break his 22.5 sack record this season, and @PatMcAfee says he’ll donate $500,000 to his charity if he does.

Watt is on pace to be the Steelers franchise sack leader at the end of this season and the back-and-forth between him and defensive tackle Cam Heyward is going to be must-see TV. Watt was the Defensive Player of the Year in 2021 and he is driven to come back better than ever.
