Scots are preparing to pack their bags for the summer holidays but keen jet setters are being warned to check two things on their passport.
For those flying from Glasgow Airport to Greece this summer, it is crucial to check the passport's validity.
This comes as many people have been caught out by the new Brexit passport rule and turned away at boarding in the airport.

Following Brexit, the EU only recognises a passport as valid if it's less than ten years old from the date of issue.
If your passport was issued before October 1 2018, you may have had extra months added onto the expiry date, but now they will no longer be valid.
As stated by Foreign Travel Advice, for entry into Greece, your passport must be:
- Issued less than 10 years before the date you enter the country - check the date of issue.
- Valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave - check the expiry date.
This comes after the Passport Office warned that travellers need to check their passports and apply for renewal in plenty of time.
Since the pandemic shut down international travel, many put off renewing their passports which means there is now a backlog of applications and up to a ten-week wait on processing.
When entering and leaving Greece, you will need your passport stamped while going through passport control - so make sure you factor in possible waiting times when planning your trip.
Tourists are also warned they may also need to:
- Show a return or onward ticket.
- Show you have enough money for your stay.
If you are staying less than 90 days, you will not need a visa for travel.
Covid rules in Greece
Greece have lifted all covid restrictions for tourists entering the country.
This means that no matter what vaccination status, you can enter without showing proof of vaccine or covid status.
Everyone is required to wear masks on public transport and therefore on the plane.
