Passengers confused after woman takes fishy friend on a flight - with tank of water

If you have a pet, you'll know how attached you grow to them in such a short space of time, and there's a rise in taking pets on holiday with you. When you think of taking a pet abroad, however, you probably think of dogs and cats - not fish.

As such passengers on a plane were left flabbergasted after a woman took her fish - along with its fish tank full of water - on a flight to Florida. Haley Koehn decided to take her fish, Pluto, on holiday with her, and she documented a short snippet of the trip on her TikTok account @haleykoehn9.

The young woman documented the journey, and also the gorgeous destination Pluto was able to enjoy after his flight.

In the video, Pluto can be seen with Haley in the tiny container whilst on the plane, and in a video, Pluto can be seen being strapped into his own seat with a seatbelt - what a pampered little fishy.

Haley then videoed staff at the airport, showing them discussing her pet, and then in the next clip she's reunited with him after they've tested his water.

Finally, to complete the video, Pluto can be seen at his destination of Florida, enjoying the views.

People were naturally curious in the comments section about how she managed to get her fishy friend through security with relatively low levels of drama - but maybe a few questioning looks.

Somebody asked whether she needed to let the airline know in advance that she'd be taking her scaly bestie, and she replied: "No just went there, they tested his water then let us through."

The American Transport Security Administration (TSA) rules state that as long as the fish is kept in a clear, spill-proof glass or plastic container, they should be able to fly with no issues.

A number of people also responded in the comments that they too had taken their pet fish on holiday with them, so it seems Haley certainly wasn't the first and won't be the last.
