A passenger jet was involved in a deadly collision near Washington, DC, after departing from Wichita, Kansas, according to Jesse Romo, the city's airports director. Romo stated that the flight departed 'as normal' and there were no abnormalities in the operation.

Romo assured reporters during a news conference that everything occurred without any issues. He emphasized that there was no indication of any irregularities in the flight's operation.
