Parvati Shallow Ready To Move On From Reality TV Shows

Parvati Shallow, known for Survivor, wants to distance from manipulative reality TV.

Reality TV star Parvati Shallow, known for her appearances on various reality shows, has expressed her desire to step away from the genre, except for potential participation in shows like Dancing With the Stars or Drag Race. Shallow, 41, shared in an interview that she is hesitant to engage in programs that involve manipulation and emotional warfare, citing them as triggering experiences for her.

Shallow first gained fame on Survivor: Cook Islands in 2006 and went on to win Survivor Micronesia — Fans vs. Favorites in 2008, as well as finishing as the runner-up in Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains in 2010. She also appeared on The Traitors in its second season.

Despite her history with Survivor, Shallow firmly stated that she would not consider joining the show again, jokingly suggesting a theme of 'old people vs. young people' where she would be the designated 'old' contestant. However, she acknowledged her soft spot for the show, describing it as an extended family that she can't resist reuniting with.

Shallow admitted that returning to Survivor would present challenges due to her reputation, as she believes other contestants would target her early in the game. Reflecting on her experience on The Traitors, she appreciated the willingness of participants to keep her around despite her established reputation.

While Shallow is not keen on being a contestant on reality shows, she expressed a new aspiration to host her own show. Drawing inspiration from hosts like Alan Cumming, she envisions a role where she can immerse herself in the fabric of the show, influencing and interacting with contestants in real-time.

Confident in her ability to engage with others effectively, Shallow believes she would excel in a hosting role that allows her to play off contestants and shape the direction of the show based on their input.
