Airdrieonians have announced the loan signing of Partick Thistle midfielder Ben Stanway.
The 18-year-old has penned a deal until the end of the season and joins Rhys McCabe's men in time for tomorrow's clash at home to FC Edinburgh in League One.
Stanway has made three appearances for the Jags this season and will hope to gain more experience at New Broomfield as the Diamonds look to maintain their play-off push.
The Airdrie new boy said: “I’m looking forward to getting started.
"I’ve come on a few times for Partick Thistle - obviously it was tough games, but it’s a learning curve and it’s experience, and that’s what I’m here for as well.
“It’s a great bunch of boys, they’ve been dead welcoming. The gaffer as well… it’s been easy to come into.”
Player-boss McCabe added: “We watched a few of Ben’s games earlier in the season, he’s a good young player who’s doing really well at Partick.
“We had the opportunity to get him in and get him involved with our squad, and I think he’ll contribute and learn from the quality players that we have in that area.”
Stanway's arrival comes after the club confirmed that defender Jay Riley had signed last week, having been with the club since the start of the season.
