MOTORISTS have been warned to “take care” when driving as part of Glasgow's M8 has been closed due to “contaminated water” on the road.
Traffic Scotland confirmed in an update online that lane two of the motorway's westbound carriageway on-slip at Junction 25A (Braehead Interchange) has been shut on Friday morning.
It added the reason for the lane closure was due to contaminated water flooding the road.
Drivers have been urged to take care on approach to the affected area and that they should drive appropriately to the weather conditions.
In an updated post on social media, a spokesperson for Traffic Scotland said: “M8 Junction 25A.
“Closed Westbound on Off-Slip at Junction 25A to Braehead due to contaminated water on the carriageway.
“Do bear in mind if you are heading to the shopping centre today -Leave the M8 J26 and take Renfrew Road to the centre.”
