Parsons Takes Victory Lap Over Cowboys’ Dominant Week 1 Win Over Giants

The Cowboys’ 40–0 season-opening rout of the Giants certainly seemed to satisfy Dallas star Micah Parsons based on the pass rusher’s social media activity after Sunday’s game.

The two-time All-Pro and Pro Bowler took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to bask in the glory of Dallas’s Week 1 win, a dominant performance spurred by a smothering, Parsons-led defense.

Shortly after the game, Parsons, who finished the evening with two tackles and a sack, shared an emphatic post calling out New York’s lackluster effort, and all of the Cowboys’ doubters.

“Y’all thought this was a game?! #doomsday,” Parsons wrote along with an eyeball emoji.

The 24-year-old then reposted a few of his favorite social media moments from the night, including a video of a sack from defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa he helped create, a shoutout from Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin and a Next Gen Stats’s recap of the ferocious performance.

Parsons’s best reaction, however, may have been his stone-cold response to Dallas’s absurd defensive stats: seven sacks, two interceptions (one of which was returned for a touchdown), one blocked field goal that was returned for another TD, and a resounding five (!) forced fumbles.

Needless to say, Parsons, following Dallas’s electric outing, seems more than ready to welcome smoke from anyone who doesn’t consider his team a force to be reckoned with.

With some already labeling Dallas as an early Super Bowl contender entering Week 1, the club put on a show to back up those claims en route to becoming the first team since the 1999 Steelers to open its season with a 40-plus point shutout on the road, per ESPN.
