An illustrious bakery has announced it will be expanding its pizza delivery service in Bristol. Parsons Bakery, a company that's almost 100 years old, is launching its second pizza kitchen from its store in Henleaze.
Parsons Bakery - which has almost 50 branches across the South West and 14 in Bristol alone - started opening in the evenings to offer an artisan pizza delivery service from its North Street site in Southville. The menu consists of around 13 different pizzas and will now be offered to serve north Bristol customers from their site on Henleaze Road.
The pizza dough is made in house, kneaded and shaped by hand before being topped with a variety of fresh, mainly local ingredients. Classic flavours such as pepperoni and Hawaiian make an appearance, as well as white bases such as chicken and pesto on an indulgent béchamel sauce.

Vegan and vegetarian pizza lovers will be well catered for with the Parsons Bakery ‘Posh Margheritas’ or goat’s cheese and red onion. The 14-inch pizzas cost £10, delivered straight to your doorstep through your delivery app of choice.
Ben Paxton, operations manager of Parsons said: “We have often thought about extending our menus, and pizza became the perfect choice. It’s been exciting to see how much our customers have enjoyed the pizzas, and we can’t wait to deliver that to Henleaze as well.”
“Bristol has always championed independent food businesses. Our first store was in Clevedon in 1926, and our first Bristol store in Bedminster opened in 2001. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength, and we can’t wait for even more Bristolians to try our pizza menu.”
The pizza menu can be ordered online for collection from the Parsons Bakery website, and delivery is available from Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat. The Henleaze store and the flagship Bedminster store are open for pizza orders Sunday to Thursday 5pm and 9pm, and Friday and Saturday, 5pm to 10.30pm.
Parsons has joined forces with Foodstuff, Bristol's only sustainable delivery platform that works with the city's independent businesses. It has collaborated with the bakery to offer deliveries from the Henleaze and North Street pizza kitchens in the evening as well as the Gloucester Road bakery.
